Despite abakhoone having only settled in Matayos constituency in 1800 onwards, the above are currently the most populous clan in Matayos even more than the original inhabitants such as Abaguuri, Abachimo, Abamenya, Abamaani and the likes.

The following are the settlements of abakhoone in Matayos. I am going to present each settlements with the abakhoone elders whose descendants currently occupy. By the way for each elder I am mentioning here, there very very many descendants of theirs who now occupy these villages in hundreds. These are major abakhoone settlements in Matayos constituency. If you visit these villages by making reference to the names of these elders, you will be welcome. To the east, abakhoone border the marachi at Kinga Ndola river in Ikonzo. The south east they border the marachi at Rakite river near Bumala. To the north they border tesos at Okilidu near Adungosi

We have some sparse distributions of abakhoone in Mundika sublocation. The names to identify here are the families of Olwande son of Sieke Okado. Olwande died in 1990 aged about 125 years. He lived in Mundika area with his younger brother Kenga son of Okunya. Actually Olwande and Kenga were brothers of the same mother. However, Sieke the father of Olwande died when Olwande was a baby. So Okunya, the brother of Sieke inherited Olwande's mother, Abwori Nabonwe, and gave birth to Kenga. So in Mundika, you will mainly find descendants of Olwande and Kenga.

Besides Olwande and Kenga, there also the family of Makokha Wanjala. He was popularly known as Makokha Ngida. He passed last year in October aged 101 years. Wanjala the father of Makokha was the eldest son of Okunya. In other words Makokha was a son to Kenya. Kenga was the youngest brother to Wanjala.
